MUNIRA AL KAZi

Munira al-Kazi – a painter and printmaker – is known for the abstract style of her works.
Al-Kazi began her career as an oil painter and went on to study at the Central School of Art and Design in London. It was there that she tried her hand and developed her skills in printmaking. She graduated in 1961, continued to work in London, holding numerous exhibitions of her paintings and etchings, and then moved to Ibiza in Spain. By the early 2000s, she started integrating digital media into her work. Her work has seen many places around the world but one of the most prominent appearances being at the inauguration of the Sultan Gallery in 1969.
