ina doorn
b. 1948, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Ina Doorn grew up in the Dutch countryside, making her one with nature. This enthused her to become a florist – working with such materials becoming part of her daily life. Moving to Kuwait changed this. The desert conditions made it hard to maintain a similar environment. However, this inspired her to maker own flowers though her craftsmanship, moving onto macramé, and then the traditional weaving of Bedouin wools, which were in abundance in the Arab nation. Once again, her surrounding environments were integrated into her work.
